What were they thinking?!?
Spudman, Gayton’s, the butchers and other market traders are being kicked out of St Editha’s Square.
I completely understand that the Square needs to be redeveloped and this would be temporary, but there must be a way of doing that and still accommodating the traders.
Anyone who is a fan of Spudman’s TikTok will have heard him say: "We are getting kicked off our pitch by the council. I love this spot, by the church, on the square, absolutely beautiful and we're getting kicked off."
Surely there’s a way that local small businesses can stay in place whilst the work is carried out - we need to send the Council a message that traders like Spudman belong in the Square!
