I'm thrilled to be running in the upcoming London Marathon, representing St Giles Hospice in Whittington.
Whittington, a village with a strong community spirit, will soon be part of the new Tamworth constituency.
St Giles Hospice is central to this community, offering compassionate care and support. Their work is invaluable, and I am excited to contribute to this cause by running the marathon and helping to raise funds.
This will be my first official marathon. I've been preparing with early morning runs in Westminster and recently completed my first half marathon in Sutton Coldfield, as well as participating in the Tamworth Castle Grounds ParkRun every Saturday.
Running in the marathon is an opportunity to support and thank the amazing staff and volunteers at St Giles Hospice for their hard work. I hope my participation inspires others in Tamworth, Whittington, and the villages to take on new challenges and support important causes.
